Promotional Products for Direct Mail

The problem with Direct Mail is that rarely does the information arrive at the right time, mail 1000 potential customers and what percentage are actually looking right now for your product, typically just a few percentage points, so 5% = 50 buyers from 1000 mailings. Now it may well be that, depending on the accuracy of the mailing data, all 1000 are potential buyers, but they are not in the market right now. So where does the mailing get filed, and assuming it gets filed and not binned, what chance it will see the light of day again? More likely when the need arises that mailing is forgotten, and the customer resorts to google....

An answer can be "Lumpy Mail" the purpose of which is to add something memorable to a mailing for follow-up calls or add something that has the potential to stay on the desk long term as a call-to-action for when the buyer is ready to purchase.
